I am a regular volunteer for the Feld Career Center at Boston University’s School of Management, most often participating in student roundtable discussions, career and professional development workshops, expert panels, and alumni events. It is an opportunity to share some wisdom, experience, optimism and connection with undergraduates and graduates so they stay competitive in a modern market. I felt I could have used more of this in school
Seven years after I finished graduate school, I returned to Suffolk University as an Adjunct Professor. Now I teach CareerLinks, a career planning and development course for graduating seniors in the business school where I get to bring my job in the classroom. There are lots of ways be engaged like being an expert panelist for Executive Case presentations, a judge Suffolk’s $50K New Product Innovation Competition, and a curriculum adviser for a new business course.

C3 Cambridge Co-working Center
Part of being a reliable career expert is maintaining connections with multiple communities; that includes the space you work in. My office space is at the Cambridge Innovation Center, a community of innovative professionals and businesses at the hub of technology, business, education, and life sciences. This affiliation, like my others, gives me access to a network of people that I love to leverage for my clients.
